Cécili Matureli

FR : Née dans un hameau de Russie en 1998, la belgo-géorgienne Cécili Matureli a grandi à Soignies, terroir qui a nourri son profond attachement à la Wallonie. Depuis l’enfance, elle observe, hume et écoute le monde. Actuellement étudiante en Master 2 Réalisation à l’INSAS (Bruxelles), elle s’exprime à travers la fiction, le documentaire et la photographie, menant ses projets entre Belgique, Géorgie et dernièrement en Pologne. Enfance, absence, prédestination, isolement et espérance façonnent son univers, tissé d’onirisme poétique et d’inquiétante noirceur.

EN : Born in a hamlet in Russia in 1998, Belgian-Georgian Cécili Matureli grew up in Soignies, a region that nurtured her deep attachment to Wallonia. Since childhood, she has observed, smelled and listened to the world. Currently studying for a Master’s degree in Film Directing at INSAS (Brussels), she expresses herself through fiction, documentary and photography, carrying out her projects in Belgium, Georgia and, most recently, Poland. Childhood, absence, predestination, isolation and hope shape her universe, woven from poetic dreaminess and disturbing darkness.
